Police, Firemen There, Too
Daughter’s In It But Chair Rocks Ma
The song “Old Rockin’ Chair’s Got Me” is taboo in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cornecelli. 1238 Louisiana av.
Reason is a rocking chair really had their daughter, Jackie, Tuesday night and the situation nearly drove Mrs. Corneeelli frantic.
Jackie and two brothers were watching TV while their mother finished the dishes. Jackie was sitting in a child’s rocking chair with one of those attached trays.
Somehow, Jackie got all tangled up, her head and shoulders sticking under the tray, one leg doubled under her and the other leg stuck between the wooden bars of the chair.
MRS. CORNECELLI tried for a half hour to free her daughter. By then she was really and called police. Police called firemen who tried for 15 minutes more before deciding to take the chair apart piece by piece.
Jackie finally was freed. Firemen put the chair together again and the child headed right for it, trying to crawl in again.
“I’m giving that thing away,” said Mrs. Cornecelli.
