‘Phone Girl Hurt in Freak Auto Accident

SAN JOSE — Miss Josephine Morgan, telephone operator, was in a hospital today, with the local nomination for victim of the year’s strangest accident.

She parked her automobile and opened the door. The door struck a lamp post. As she stepped to the curb the globe of the street lamp crashed on her head and left her unconscious.

Although fears were at first expressed that she had received a fractured skull, she was reported not seriously injured today.
